Maite Palomares, Architect, PhD and Master’s Degree in Architectural Heritage Conservation, all of them at Universitat Politècnica de València. The Master’s Final Project was awarded by the Career Development by the Universitat Politècnica de València Official Master’s Degree in Architectural Heritage Conservation (2014). She also is University Specialist in University Pedagogy by the Universitat Politècnica de València
She teaches in Architectural Degree and in a Master’s Degree in several programmes on Historical Architecture, Contemporary Architecture and Landscape. She is also a researcher in Modern Architecture and Modern Movement Heritage focusing on documentation, methodologies, techniques, and media. Her interest on Conservation Modern Movement and its innovative technologies began with her PhD Thesis titled The Prefabrication in GO.DB. Architectes, andcurrently is developed in some research project, coordinating some of them as “Conservation Management Plan Cheste Workers University Paraninfo”, Keeping it Modern Programme (2019) of the Getty Foundation.
She is also co-author and co-editor of several books including Juan José Estellés Ceba. Arquitecto (Architectural Association of the Valencian Community, 2007) with Carlos Meri.
She is a member of the Iberian DOCOMOMO Committee of Experts since 2010 and of the Board of Trustees. She also has been member of Scientific Committee at the Iberian Conferences.
She has curated travelling exhibitions such as “Giovanni Battista Piranesi. La arquitectura como conjetura dibujada” in cooperation with the Valencian Museum of Fine Arts (2020); “INDUSTRIAS de Javier García-Solera” (2017) and her work has been shown in several exhibitions as “Amuebladas” exhibited at National Museum of Ceramics and Sumptuary Arts “González Martí” (2006) or “Architest@s” (2021), among others, and she also won the Architecture Award (2002) of the Architectural Association of the Valencian Community.
Maite Palomares is Assistant Director for Culture at the Higher School of Architecture at the Universitat Politècnica de València since 2012. She was Assistant Dean for Culture of the Architectural Association of the Valencian Community (2006-2008) and she won the Architecture Award (2002) of the Architectural Association of the Valencian Community.
