Nuria Álvarez Lombardero studied Architecture and Urbanism at ETSA Madrid, Universidad Politécnica de Madrid and the Architectural Association of London (AA). She is co-director of Canales & Lombardero and of the Politics of Fabrication initiative. She has taught at Cambridge University, Bartlett University College of London, TEC Monterrey and the University of Seville, and is currently a lecturer at the Architectural Association. After finishing her PhD on the dissolution of the limits drawn by modern urban planning at the University of Seville, she has published several articles in international and national journals, such as RA, Metalocus, Zarch, Proyecto, progreso y arquitectura and Archithese. She has also authored the books Política de Fabricación (ViBok 2017) and Arquitectas: Redefiniendo la Práctica (Recolectores Urbanos, 2016), the latter being awarded at the XIII Bienal Española de Urbanismo y Arquitectura. She is currently part of the research team All Possible Lives. Design and Critique of Contemporary Domesticity (HUM1065) at the University of Seville.
