Mónica Díaz Vera

I am a Chilean (women) architect, critical theorist and feminist researcher. I have a PhD in Architecture from the Polytechnic University of Valencia. My work focuses on the critical study of the body in the built space from a feminist perspective. Since 2014, I have directed the urban practices laboratory El Cuerpo en la Ciudad. I have been a guest lecturer in Chile, Mexico and Spain, as well as presenting my research in several countries. Together with Constanza Mena I am the author of the book “Espacialidad del niño que no ve” (2012/2020) published by SaCabana. I am interested in building interdisciplinary work links that have as a meeting point the study of urban practices in space, in order to contribute to the generation and planning of spatial configurations that allow the physical, psychological and emotional well-being of the different bodies in the territory.
